About Pittsburgh FEB Committees and Councils

The Pittsburgh FEB Committees and Councils work to meet the common needs of member agencies. Committees share best practices, provide information to the local Federal community, and must report activity at least once a year at the annual Pittsburgh FEB Full-Board meeting. Membership on Pittsburgh FEB Committees, Councils, and Email List Servs is open to all Federal employees with supervisor approval. For more information: FEBInfo@opm.gov

Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and Shared Neutrals Program

The Pittsburgh FEB ADR and Shared Neutrals Program is an interagency mediation program administered by the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (FMCS) in coordination with the Pittsburgh FEB. Upon request, the ADR and Shared Neutrals Program assists participating Federal agencies through a pool of trained, collateral-duty Federal employees who provide mediation services to agencies other than their own in exchange for like services to the program from the recipient agency.

Region 3 FEB Emergency Preparedness and Security (EP&S) Council

The EP&S Council is comprised of multiple Federal agencies and community partners, under the direction of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Region 3 in coordination with the Region 3 FEBs – Baltimore, Philadelphia, and Pittsburgh. The common collaborative goal of the Council includes developing viable plans, identifying best practices and resources, and implementing an annual interagency emergency preparedness training or tabletop exercise that would further prepare the local Federal government to respond quickly and efficiently in the event of a major disruption in services.

Excellent in Government (EIG) Awards Program Committee

The EIG Committee supports the planning and coordination of an interagency employee recognition event. Committee members research venues, selects keynote speakers, reviews award submissions, and participates in other activities as needed to support a local interagency employee recognition event.

PHL-PIT FEB Partners in Equity (PIE) Council
The PIE Council serves as a catalyst to affect change towards organizational excellence through periodic educational forums which can assist in the development of a diverse workforce able to achieve their highest potential.  Membership is comprised of Federal employees from the local Federal communities in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh.
